Ms. Koch is the co-founder of the Rural American Funds with Tom Karlson. Her responsibilities at the funds include investment opportunity evaluation, structuring and negotiating new investments and exits, due diligence as well as portfolio company management, investor relations and marketing.

Ms. Koch began her career in 1997. Her background includes more than 15 years working with privately‐held companies on numerous private equity, merger and acquisition, consulting and corporate finance related projects. Since 2004, Ms. Koch has focused her private equity and advisory work on projects mainly in and around the Agribusiness market. Prior to founding of the Rural American Fund in 2007, Ms. Koch was with River North Partners a merger and acquisition consulting firm with a focus on providing investment banking services to Ag-related businesses. Prior to River North, Ms. Koch spent three years at Century Capital Group / Vine Street Partners working on middle‐market seller advisory, acquisition advisory and management buyout / recapitalization projects. Before Century Capital / Vine Street, Ms. Koch worked in the Debt Capital Markets Group at William Blair & Company, LLC. Prior to William Blair, Ms. Koch was with GE Commercial Finance.

Ms. Koch is a member of Charger Genetics, LLC (Rural American Fund III RBIC, L.P.), Independent Ag (Rural American Fund III RBIC, L.P.), and Fisher Nut Company (Rural American Fund III RBIC, L.P.) Board of Directors.  She previously served on the Board of Directors of Aquatrols (Rural American Fund II, L.P.), La Crosse Seed (Rural American Fund I, L.P.) and Technology Crops (Rural American Fund I, L.P.).  Ms. Koch graduated Cum Laude from St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame with a BBA in Accounting.
